The drier has a carbon contact holding arrangement (3) arranged at a supporting part, and a carbon contact (5) arranged on a longitudinal axis (7) of a retainer (6). The supporting part is designed as a supporting arm formed in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the retainer, where the supporting part is fixed to a housing of the drum by using a fastening section and is provided with a clamping bracket.
