<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate an actual/real touch position touched by a user operating a touch screen from a false/phantom touch position. <P>SOLUTION: A circuit for generating and detecting a signal is used to execute both zone scanning and cross point scanning in the touch screen, to discriminate an actual touch position (including a plurality of positions on the touch screen simultaneously touched by a user). The signal generation/detection circuit provides/detects signals of conductors arranged in a first direction across the touch screen, and also provides/detects signals of conductors arranged in a second direction across the touch screen. Moreover, by combining both zone scanning and cross point scanning in the touch screen, false/phantom touch positions are discriminated with high accuracy from actual/real touch positions touched by the user who operates the touch screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
