<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured spatial position identification apparatus and a spatial position identification method capable of easily identifying a spatial position of an object. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The spatial position identification method includes the steps of generating a magnetic field G in a direction parallel to a Z-axis by a magnetic field generator 2 to be disposed in a three-dimensional coordinate system; detecting a first angle θ<SB>1</SB>formed by a first reference line L<SB>1</SB>with an X-axis by a first magnetic field detector 3 to be disposed at a first reference point A, the first reference line L<SB>1</SB>being a straight line passing the first reference point A and a point C<SB>1</SB>which is a projected generation point C of the magnetic field G onto an XY plane; detecting a second angle θ<SB>2</SB>formed by a second reference line L<SB>2</SB>with the X-axis by a second magnetic field detector 4 to be disposed at a second reference point B, the second reference line L<SB>2</SB>being a straight line passing the second reference point B and the point C<SB>1</SB>which is the projected generation point C of the magnetic field G onto the XY plane; and detecting a third angle θ<SB>3</SB>formed by a third reference line L<SB>3</SB>with a Y-axis by a third magnetic field detector 5 to be disposed at an origin O, the third reference line L<SB>3</SB>being a straight line passing the origin O and a point C<SB>2</SB>which is the projected generation point C of the magnetic field G onto a YZ plane, thus identifying the spatial position of the magnetic field generator 2.
