<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable laborsaving of air-tight test work and vacuuming work during construction on site, in an air conditioner in which a coolant circuit is composed by connecting a heat source unit and utilization units via coolant communication pipes during the construction on site. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the air conditioner 1, the heat source unit 2 and utilization units 5a, 5b are connected via the coolant communication pipes 6, 7 during the construction on site to compose the coolant circuit 10. Low-GWP (global warming potential) inactive coolant is used as operation coolant for performing refrigeration cycle in the coolant circuit 10 to carry out the air-tight test of the coolant communication pipes 6, 7 by filling the coolant communication pipes 6, 7 with the operation coolant.
