PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage apparatus, a restore method and a restore program, for optimizing a time to be spent on restore. SOLUTION: The storage apparatus includes: an update information generation means for, in response to a restore execution instruction, generating update information indicating whether the data in each of the management areas of a source volume has been updated in each generation from restore generation to be restored to the latest generation, on the basis of the backup information corresponding to each generation; an extraction means for extracting the data before update stored in the backup volume of the oldest generation as the data of the restore generation on the basis of the update information for the oldest generation of the update information indicating that the data in the management area have been updated about in each of the management areas of the source volume; and an update means for updating the current data stored in the management areas of the source volume in which the data before update have been stored, by the data before update extracted by the extraction means.
