<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of driving an information display panel that fully erases the history of an information image displayed before, without causing degradation in the rewrite lifetime of display or increasing power consumption. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method of driving the information display panel includes a means for sealing at least two types of display media, configured as a particle group containing charged particles between two facing substrates, at least one of which is transparent; a means for applying a voltage between a pair of facing pixel electrodes arranged on each substrate which are formed by oppositely arranging conductive films; and a means for displaying the information image by driving the display media. When the information image displayed on the information display panel is erased, the information image is erased by combining the application of an alternating voltage with the application of a positive or negative voltage of two or more consecutive cycles.
