<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for deciding molten iron component by which the molten iron component value after removing some composition in the molten iron by a molten iron standby facility is decided when allocating the molten iron in a molten iron transporting vehicle into each converter charge. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for deciding the molten iron component after pretreating with the previous treating facility when blending the molten irons in the molten iron transporting vehicle received from a plurality of molten iron producing furnaces and allocating them into a converter charge is provided with: a molten iron DB 21 for memorizing a reaching order of the molten iron transporting vehicles for transporting to a steel-making work, a loading molten iron weight in each molten iron transporting vehicle and molten iron component (as following, shown as molten iron information); a steel-making DB 22 for memorizing each necessary weight of the plurality of converter charges, needed component and a steel-tapping time (hereinafter referred to as steel-tapping information); and a calculating means 24, by which the molten iron transporting vehicle is allocated into the converter-charge so as to become lower than the prescribed value or in the prescribed range based on the molten iron information and the steel-tapping information, and also the component value after pretreating with the previous treating facility for molten iron in the molten iron transporting vehicle allocated in the converter charge are obtained based on the steel-tapping information.
