A microporous film comprises an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyolefin and a polyolefin resin. And a method of producing a microporous film comprising: preparing a first mixture by melting and mixing ultra-high-molecular-weight polyolefin with a solvent; preparing a second mixture by melting and mixing a polyolefin resin with the first mixture; forming the second mixture into a film; removing the solvent from the film to form the microporous film; and annealing the microporous films for setting.
