The method involves detecting direction vectors of a traffic circle entrance (EK) and a traffic circle exit (AK), respectively. An angle (alpha1) is determined by forming angular differences between the direction vector of the traffic circle entrance and the direction vectors of the traffic circle exit. A value determined for the angle is rounded off with respect to angular resolution of a motor vehicle display. Beam sections of the traffic circle exit are represented in accordance with the rounded off value for the corresponding angle with respect to the one of the beam sections.
