<p>A direct view display device (100a) comprises a display region (120) wherein pixels are disposed longitudinally and transversely, and a frame region (130) provided outside of the display region. The device is provided with a display panel (100) wherein there is a first boundary line (B1) and a second boundary line (B2) between the display region and the frame region, and a translucent cover (200) that is disposed on the side of the viewer. The display region comprises a peripheral display region (125) and a central display region (124). Between the peripheral display region and the central display region, there are a third boundary line (B3) and a fourth boundary line (B4). The peripheral display region comprises a first peripheral display portion (121). The translucent cover comprises a lens part that is disposed on the peripheral display region and the frame region. The lens part refracts light emitted from a pixel (171) in the first peripheral display portion from the point at which the third and fourth boundary lines intersect in the direction (X1) toward the pixel (171). Provided thereby is a display device that can make the entire frame region, including the corners, less conspicuous and can make joints less conspicuous with tiling.</p> |
