PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of displaying information only about an area where a user can readily go into. SOLUTION: In a case where there is a central divider for separating a traffic lane in a traveling direction from a traffic lane in a direction opposite to the traveling direction in a route to a destination, this navigation apparatus changes a display format on a map image with respect to a predetermined area at the traffic lane in the direction opposite to the traveling direction in the interval of the central divider.
