<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser light source device which obtains a desired laser light output and has a long service life with low power consumption. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The laser light source device 1 includes: a laser light source 10; a wavelength conversion element 11 where light IR1 emitted from the laser light source 10 is made incident; a light amount detecting part 13 for detecting the light amount of the light G1 emitted from the wavelength conversion element 11; a control part 14 for determining supply power supplied to the laser light source 10 so as to allow a detection value by the light amount detecting part 13 to be close to a target value; and a characteristic adjusting part 15 for minimizing the supply power by defining at least the laser light source 10 or the wavelength conversion element 11 as an object and adjusting the characteristic of the object.
