<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an adjusting work to adjust the detection range of a sensor means. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When an illumination device 1 with sensor, including a sensor means 3, is installed on a ceiling S (or inclined ceiling S'), since the gravity center of its body 30 is located at the lower side, the body 30 is rotated about a first movable axis and a second movable axis by the action of gravity and stops at a posture, in which the lines connecting respectively the first movable axis; and the second movable axis and the gravity center of the body 30 correspond to the perpendicular direction. That is, by utilizing the gravity that acts on the body 30 of the sensor means 3, since the detection range adjusting means (the first axis parts 32a, 32a of a housing body 32, first bearing parts 35, 35 of the support body 34, the second axis parts 34a, 34a, and the second bearing parts 37, 37 of an envelope 46) automatically adjust the detection range, the work on adjusting the detection range of the sensor means 3 is not required.
