<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to carry out detachment of both housings without any trouble for a lever-type connector. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A cam follower 42 comes in sliding contact with a face of a cam groove 67 in accordance with rotation operation of the lever 60 toward an insertion-coupling/detachment direction to carry out insertion-coupling/detachment of a first and a second housings 20, 40. The cam groove 67 consists of a movement region 71 where a cam action is exerted in accordance with rotation operation of the lever 60 in a detachment direction to carry out detachment of the both housings 20, 40, and a play region 72 connected to a terminal end of the movement region 71 in the detachment direction where the cam action is not exerted even with the rotation operation of the lever 60 in the detachment direction. The lever 60 and the second housing 40 are provided with inclination regulating parts 44, 44A, 44B, 66, 66A, 66B, respectively, for correcting gradients of detachment posture of the both housings 20, 40 while the lever 60 passes through the play region 72.
