<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image of high quality by stabilizing the conveyance capability for recording paper in a fixing device and then, suppressing paper wrinkles, image deviation, etc., over a long period of time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a rotatable fixing roll 61; an endless belt 62 which can be moved while contacting with the fixing roll 61; a pressure pad 64 which is arranged inside the endless belt 62 and brings the endless belt 62 into press-contact with the fixing roll 61, to form a nip portion N between the fixing roll 61 and the endless belt 62; and a lubricant applying member 67 which is arranged so as to come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the endless belt 62 and supplies lubricant to the inner peripheral surface of the endless belt 62. The endless belt 62 has a groove portion in the inner peripheral surface along the moving direction of the endless belt 62 and irregular unevenness in the inner peripheral surface including the groove portion and supplies and collects the lubricant in the nip portion N by the unevenness, to replace the lubricant.
