<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing control means near the roll paper tail end, capable of reducing a residual quantity of disposal roll paper to a minimum necessary, by dispensing with a disposal management of printing-interrupted paper, by eliminating a useless printing operation due to a paper shortage in the middle of printing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This printing control means includes the roll paper 1 continuing in one direction in a unit paper piece 2 of the length corresponding to one sheet of required information and arranging a residual number management mark 4 in the unit paper piece 2 existing in a position of the number of adding at least 1 to the maximum number of the constituting sheet number of the required information from its tail end, a residual number management sensor arranged in a position corresponding to the unit paper piece 2 in printing and detecting the residual number management mark 4, an operation control part for controlling notifying operation and printing operation based on the residual number of the unit paper piece 2 and the constituting sheet number of the required information printing in the next place, with the fact of detecting the residual number management mark by the residual number management sensor as a chance, and a notifying part for notifying the residual number or roll exchange indicating information of the unit paper piece 2 in response to the control content of the operation control part.
