A method, system, and apparatus for controlling resource distribution in a peer P2P network are provided in the embodiments of the present invention. The P2P network is composed of credible nodes. The method Includes: authority information and/or reputation information of a client is obtained from the P2P network; the resource distributing activities of the client are controlled according to the authority information and/or reputation information. In the embodiments of the present invention, the accessing node checks the resources distributed by the client to avoid the malicious activities of the client. The node also distributes the relative information of the client to the overlay. A new accessing node obtains the authority information of the client from the overlay, also checks and controls the distributing and getting resources by the accessing client, when the client node switches to the new node.
