The float bath apparatus (1) comprises a float bath tub (2) present in a float bath housing (3), a device (20) for lifting a glass strip (5) having a lower housing part and an upper housing part, where the lower housing part is sealed and placeably mounted onto the float bath housing, and elastic sealing elements arranged between the lower housing part and the float bath housing and arranged one behind the other in a sealing direction. The sealing element has a thickness of 18-30 mm. The lower housing part is fixed to the float bath housing using a fastening unit such as screws. The float bath apparatus (1) comprises a float bath tub (2) present in a float bath housing (3), a device (20) for lifting a glass strip (5) having a lower housing part and an upper housing part, where the lower housing part is sealed and placeably mounted onto the float bath housing, and elastic sealing elements arranged between the lower housing part and the float bath housing and arranged one behind the other in a sealing direction. The sealing element has a thickness of 18-30 mm. The lower housing part is fixed to the float bath housing using a fastening unit such as screws. The lower housing part is pressurizable against the float bath housing using the fastening unit and under compression of the sealing element.
