<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair grower having excellent effects, and to provide an NT-4 expression inhibitor suitable as an active ingredient of the hair grower. <P>SOLUTION: The NT-4 expression inhibitor has, as active ingredient(s), the extract of at least one plant selected from the group consisting of Wikstroemia retusa, Stellera chamaejasme, Daphne feddei and Synaptolepis retusa. The hair grower contains the NT-4 expression inhibitor as an active ingredient.
