<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus, image reading method, image reading program and recording medium in which an original image is read while adjusting an image reading speed. <P>SOLUTION: When a stored image data amount in an image data storage unit 13 is reduced to a slow-down starting data amount during a normal reading operation, in an image reading apparatus 1, a driving motor 22 is changed to a slow-down step interval which is wider than a normal reading step interval and can stop the driving motor at a rotation angle in a biphase exciting state, an original is read by an original reading unit while driving the driving motor and shifting it to a stopped state. Then, a slow-down reading operation is performed for notifying an image processing unit of slow-down thin-out data and when the stored image data amount in the image data storage unit is increased to the slow-up starting data amount, driving of the driving motor is resumed from the stopped state at wide driving step intervals and a slow-up reading operation is performed to notifying the image processing unit of the slow-up thin-out data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
