<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate making reference to a past history of failures, when a failure is to be repaired, and to facilitate the specification of causes of the failure. <P>SOLUTION: In a vehicle failure management system having a plurality of control units communicable via a communication line, the plurality of control units includes a failure information storage means for storing the failure information in a failure information storage region; a failure history information storage means for storing the time and date of reception of a failure information deletion command and the failure information, stored in each failure information storage region as one group of new failure history information in an unused storage region, prior to the deletion of failure information according to a failure information deletion command form a failure diagnosis tester; a failure information deletion means for deleting failure information stored in the failure information storage region after new failure history information is stored; and an information search means for searching for corresponding failure history information from stored failure history information, according to information search command from the failure diagnostic tester. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
