PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable initialization and reactivation of a hung-up module without initializing a whole computer system. SOLUTION: In a computer system having master modules and slave modules that communicate through a bus, a bus hang-up prevention module is arranged for each slave module for monitoring signals on a bus and detecting a hang-up relating to the communication. When the prevention module detects a hang-up, a signal which indicates the reactivation of only a slave module corresponding to the prevention module, is outputted to cause initialization and reactivation of only the hung-up slave module without initializing the whole computer system.
