PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator in which a coil is wound in overlapping manner for connection in series and its winding is relatively simple. SOLUTION: A stator 10 includes a stator core 10a with a plurality of teeth 10b, and three-phase windings 14a, and 14b, and 14c inserted into slots 10c between the windings and the teeth 10b. The respective three-phase windings 14a, 14b, and 14c include a plurality of coil winding parts 16a, 16b, and 16c distribution-wound in two layers by predetermined turns in series, while those adjoining each other are reversed in the winding direction, on respective slot groups 20 consisting of a pair of slots 10c on both sides of respective two teeth 10b shifted by an electric angle of 180° from each other among a plurality of teeth 10b shifted by an electrical angle of 180°×m (m: integer). The three-phase windings 14a, 14b, and 14c pinch the remaining two-phase windings on the lead line side and crossover line side of respective slots 10c where the windings are arranged.
