PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article for obtaining excellent leak preventing property by effectively preventing the backward flow and leak of menstrual blood and the flow and leak of a body fluid from a back part. SOLUTION: A sanitary pad 1 includes: an absorbent body 5 having a front surface sheet 2, a back surface sheet 3, and an absorbent body 4 interposed between the both sheets 2, 3; and a pair of leak preventing walls 7 arranged on both sides 5c in the longitudinal direction (a Y-direction) of the absorbent body 5, which have a pair of base walls 71 and surface shape elastic expansible parts 72 successively arranged from the upper ends 71a of the base walls respectively. The absorbent body 4 has a swelling high center part 40 at the center region CT in the width direction (an X-direction). The high center part 40 includes individually arranged front high center part 41 and back high center part 42. The front high center part 41 is formed in an excretion region (a).
