PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine including a detecting means capable of detecting game balls stagnating at a playfield without being restricted by obstacles on the playfield such as game pins and game members. SOLUTION: When game balls stagnate in the playfield, the curved faces of superposed game balls are retained by a glass plate surface. Therefore, the detecting means for detecting the stagnation of the game balls is provided in a space having no obstacles from the glass plate surface to the game pins and game members, to detect the game balls retained by the glass plate surface for a predetermined time.
