PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing hardly generating torsion, slacking or the like, while keeping a surface hardness soft and holding a shape as the whole, in the packing for imparting a waterproof function in equipment such as electronic equipment and communication equipment. SOLUTION: This waterproof packing includes a nonwaterpermeable flexible member 1 interposed between assembling members, and for imparting waterproofness for the equipment, and a core material 2, and has respective points of at least three abutting points A, B, C abutting an engagement face of the assembling member in a cross section perpendicular to an engagement line of an engagement assembling member of the equipment, the core material 2 is arranged in a position not crossing at least one line segment out of three line segments connecting respectively the three abutting points, and the flexible member 1 is compressed to be engagement-assembled while interposing the two abutting points constituting the one line segment not crossed with the core material 2, between the assembling members, to abut respectively on the engagement-assembled assembling members one by one.
