摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact (in particular, a thin) optical disk device in which a rigid board to control signal processing for the optical disk is easily adjusted. SOLUTION: The optical disk device includes a traverse mechanism 3 having: a transfer mechanism 4 to transfer the optical disk to a position for signal processing; a rotation mechanism 39 to rotate the optical disk; an optical pickup 33 to make the optical disk be irradiated with a laser beam and to receive reflected light of the laser beam; a guide mechanism 31 to guide the optical pickup in the radial direction of the optical disk; and a flexible board 37 to connect the rigid board 8 to control the signal processing for the optical disk to the optical pickup, and a casing 2 having an opening nearly parallel to the bottom face, wherein the traverse mechanism is mounted on the bottom face, and the transfer mechanism is set on a second opening of the openings on the upper section of the traverse mechanism except for the first opening of the guide mechanism side, on which the rigid board is set.
