PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch the amount of jitter to be applied by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The jitter injection apparatus for injecting jitter to a signal includes: a plurality of jitter injecting sections which are provided in series on a transmission line which transmits a signal and are relays having frequency characteristics for attenuating a high frequency range rather than a low frequency range; an output section for selecting a signal which has passed from the initial-stage jitter injecting section to a designated jitter injecting section and outputting it; and a plurality of branch route jitter injecting sections which are provided on a plurality of branch routes, respectively, which transmit a signal output from each of the plurality of jitter injecting sections from the transmission line to the output section and are relays having frequency characteristics for attenuating a high frequency range rather than a low frequency range.
