PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet stacking device capable of loading and storing a sheet in an orderly aligned state on the basis of a regulating stopper arranged in this tray, when loading and storing the sheet on the tray. SOLUTION: This sheet stacking device includes a tray means for loading and storing the sheet from a paper ejecting port, the regulating stopper for butting and regulating the sheet carried in this tray, a reciprocally rotating roller for butting and registering the sheet carried out on the tray means from the paper ejecting port against and by the regulating stopper, a roller lifting means for liftably supporting the reciprocally rotating roller to the tray means between an operation position contacting with the uppermost sheet and a standby position retreated above the sheet, a paper pressing guide arranged between the reciprocally rotating roller and the regulating stopper and pressing the uppermost sheet on the tray means, a pressing force reducing means for reducing a pressing force acting on the uppermost sheet of this paper pressing guide, and a control means for controlling the reciprocally rotating roller, the roller lifting means and the pressing force reducing means.
