PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a foamed sheet by which the hardness of the surface can be improved while suppressing the increase of thickness, and to provide the foamed sheet having a thin thickness and a high strength. SOLUTION: The method for producing the foamed sheet includes making a foamed body in a sheet shape by a polymer composition, and heat-treating the surface of the foamed body by irradiating the foamed body with a laser beam to provide the foamed sheet having the surface hardness improved more than the foamed body.
