PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile equipped with an air guide apparatus and a method of mounting the air guide apparatus. SOLUTION: The automobile, specifically a passenger car, includes the air guide apparatus disposed in a rear end region and operable between a rest position and an operation position by an adjusting device. The adjusting device includes two drive mechanisms disposed at each side thereof for driving the air guide apparatus, and each of the drive mechanisms is mounted to a support member. A holding strip is tied to a vehicle body in the rear end region and has a positioning point, at or by which the support member is positioned with respect to the holding strip.
