<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent treatment composition for glass capable of ensuring high water-repellency and transparency and performing treatment with a smaller amount than conventional even in the case of an alcohol-based treatment liquid while also retaining advantage of a conventional dry/bright type surface treating agent that one step use is possible by cancellation of a drying-scraping up step. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The water repellent treatment composition for the glass is used by impregnating a cloth containing an extremely fine fiber as a constitution component with it at use, and contains 0.05-10 mass% of (A) fluorine-based alkylalkoxysilane and 0.01-5 mass% of (B) catalyst.
