<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and easily installable crossing monitoring system with high reliability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The crossing monitoring system includes a thermosensor 4 and a visible camera 5 for having the inside of a crossing 2 as a detection range in the crossing 2 having crossing gates 3, a portable line transmission means 10 for recording thermo-images of the thermosensor 4 in a recording part 10M during the blocking operation of the crossing gates 3 and transmitting abnormal information and thermo-images before and after the occurrence of an abnormality when an abnormality in the detection of a temperature of the thermosensor 4 occurs via a portable line, and a centralized monitoring portion server 20 connected to the portable line to report the abnormality and display the images based on the abnormal information and the thermo-images transmitted from the transmission device 10.
