The present invention relates to a paste for an environmentally-friendly solar cell electrode and a solar cell using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a paste for a solar cell electrode, comprising a solid component and dispersive medium, and a solar cell using the same as a front electrode. The solid component contains: one or more conductive powders selected from a metal and a metal-containing compound; a lead component-free glass frit; and one or more bismuth (Bi) elements selected from bismuth (Bi) and a bismuth (Bi)-containing compound. According to the present invention, an environmentally-friendly solar cell can be manufactured because toxic lead (Pb) component is not contained. Also, the solar cell has a strong penetration effect on a reflective film during thermal treatment and improved binding strength with a semiconductor substrate. Thus, the solar cell has excellent electrical properties due to low series resistance (Rs) and high shunt resistance (Rsh). |
