摘要 <p>Disclosed are a wireless communications system and a wireless device, which are capable of maintaining a satisfactory circuit quality even when a characteristic of a transmission path rapidly deteriorates.  The wireless device measures a state that denotes the characteristic of the transmission path, determines, based on the state thus measured, whether or not to change modulation protocols, and, if it is necessary to change modulation protocols, determines the post-change modulation protocol corresponding to the state thus measured and to a value of a quantity of change of the state thus measured, changes a demodulation protocol to the demodulation protocol that corresponds the post-change modulation protocol, and appends, to a frame that is transmitted to a communicating wireless device, an information that denotes the post-change modulation protocol.  The wireless device also extracts, from the frame that is received from the communicating wireless device, the information that denotes the post-change modulation protocol, and switches to the post-change modulation protocol in accordance with the information thus extracted.</p>
