The engine has a cylinder head (10) closing an operating cylinder, and inlet channels (14) for supplying fresh air to the operating cylinder. An exhaust gas recycling device recycles exhaust gases from an exhaust system to the inlet channels. The recycling device includes an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve for influencing quantity of recycled exhaust gas. An EGR channel (20) of the recycling device is fixed with an EGR distributing channel (22) of the recycling device, where the EGR distributing channel is integrated with the cylinder head.
