A communication method for performing a communication among a plurality of communication devices sharing a communicationband, includes a first step of transmitting notification signal during a first period PGA time to notify information for arbitrating the communication device capable of performing data transmission during a second period slot arbitration period subsequent to the first period, and a second step of transmitting data from the communication device, capable of performing the data transmission during the second period based on the notification signal transmitted during the first period, in specific period in the second period allocated to the data transmitted from the communication device. The embodiment adopts a hybrid access control including priority group arbitration in the first period and slot arbitration in the second period. The method is particularly useful in powerline communication systems.
