PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for identifying the accessibility of femto-base stations in a communication system are provided to discriminate base station without additional overhead by judging accessibility probability through the discriminating the kinds of base stations based on a CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) mask or a scrambling sequence. CONSTITUTION: A receiver receives a BCH(Broadcast CHannel) received from at least one of plural base stations, and a main processor(440) extracts a base station identifier from the CRC mask applied to the BCH or the scrambling sequence applied to the BCH. In order to judge whether or not access is allowed to at least one base station, the main processor uses a base station identifier. A memory(460) stores at least one CSG(Closed Subscription Group) ID.
