<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the easiness of connection work of first and second passage components connected to each other so as to form an air passage extending over the inside and the outside of an engine room, and to attain the enhancement of sealing property of a seal member by utilizing a suction negative the pressure of air circulated through a communication passage in an outboard motor. <P>SOLUTION: In the outboard motor, the first passage part 15m forming the air passage extending over the inside and the outside of the engine room and the second passage part 62 are connected to each other through the seal member 140. The seal member 140 has a lip 142 closely contacted with an abutment surface J1; a flexible part 144 elastically deformed in a bent shape when the lip 142 is pressed by the abutment surface J1; and an operative surface 145 applied with a suction negative pressure of air sucked into the internal combustion engine. The operative surface 145 has an opposed surface 145a opposed to the abutment surface J1 in an action direction of the suction negative pressure, and an urging force for pressing the lip 142 to the abutment surface J1 is generated by an action of the suction negative pressure to the opposed surface 145a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
