DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING ELECTRIC MOTOR AND VEHICLE MOUNTED WITH THE SAME, AND METHOD OF REPORTING OVERHEAT OF ELECTRIC MOTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly report that a motor will reach an overheat state according to a load factor of it.

SOLUTION: A device for controlling of motor determines whether a required load factor Pm* and motor temperature Tm are within the range of overheat alert against a motor overheat alert decision map in which a motor is determined to reach overheat state when the required load factor Pm* is large even if the motor temperature Tm is relatively low, but the motor is determined never to reach an overheating state when the required load factor Pm* is small even if the motor temperature Tm is relatively high (S160 and S170). An overheat alert lamp is turned on when they are within the range of overheat alert (S190). Thus, the overheat alert lamp which means that a motor will reach the overheat state can be turned on using the motor temperature Tm corresponding to a required load factor Pm*.
