<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a case common even if the number of fluorescent tubes or gaps are changed so as to obtain a backlight device capable of reducing a required time for an assembling process. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight device 1 includes a lamp 2, lamp connectors 3, a back light chassis 4 and a lamp connector holder 5. A plurality of the lamp connectors 3 are mounted to the lamp connector holder 5, and the lamp connector holder 5 can be mounted to the backlight chassis 4 in a free detachment manner.
