<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle sensor capable of being easily assembled without damaging magnetic shield effect. <P>SOLUTION: In this sensor, a rotatable rotor 20 is arranged inside a cylindrical case 10 and a cap-shaped magnetic shield 11 is set inside the case 10 so as to surround the rear end of the rotor. A magnet 21 fixed at the rear end of the rotor and a magnetic sensor IC 15, facing to the magnet, mounted on a wiring board 14 are arranged inside it. A terminal part 14A of the wiring board is protruded outside from the notch 11a formed at the sidewall of the cap-shaped magnetic shield 11.
