<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face pattern analysis system analyzing a received face photographic image, and efficiently determining to which of a plurality of preclassified face patterns does the face photographic image belong. <P>SOLUTION: By using an average face image with respect to received face image data, a face body image and the respective parts images of the face including at least the eyes, the nose, and the contour are extracted, and at least the areas, shapes, positions (coordinates), and gradients of those parts images are measured, and difference data about the distance between both eyes, the length of the nose, and the contour (horizontal to vertical long) are calculated based on those measured values and the measured values of the eyes, the nose, and the contour of the average face image, and the distance between both eyes, the length of the nose and the contour (horizontal to vertical long) are ranked into 3 to 5 stages from the difference data, and to which of 4 to 8 types of face patterns preset based on impressions given by the manufacturing of the face does the face pattern to which the received face image data belongs belong is determined and output according to the combination of the ranks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
