PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gusset bag with a sealable chuck capable of correctly and easily adjusting the position of a transverse godet while maintaining the sealing performance of the sealable chuck, and also to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A strip-like seal piece 50 arranged below and in parallel to a sealable chuck 3 is folded into two along the longitudinal direction to form a positioning seal 5 with its lower end being opened. An upper end of a transverse godet part 4 inserted in the positioning seal 5 is positioned by the positioning seal 5. The positioning seal 5 is welded to a rear side film 2 together with the transverse godet part 4. The strip-like film 30 constituting the transverse godet part 4 is folded along the longitudinal direction, and a cylindrical body 40 for the transverse godet with its longitudinal side edge being welded is formed.
