PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device capable of suppressing a power consumption. SOLUTION: A gas meter 40 includes a microcomputer 45 for performing measurement based on a signal from at least either of an ultrasonic sensor 41 and a pressure sensor 44 in a main operation mode, and a flow rate change detection circuit 43 for detecting a flow rate change based on a signal from the ultrasonic sensor 41. When a flow rate change is not detected by the flow rate change detection circuit 43, the microcomputer 45 waits in a fault mode having a smaller power consumption than in the main operation mode.
