<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biochemical reaction cassette that solves the problem, wherein there has not been any method for protecting detection surface of the biochemical reaction cassette which has a probe immobilizing carrier and a reaction chamber, by using a low-cost and simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The biochemical reaction cassette is such that a detection-use second surface is disposed in a first surface of the cassette, and that the second surface is arranged inward in comparison with the first surface to the degree of preventing an operator from contacting the second surface. Furthermore, the present invention includes the biochemical reaction cassette such that a lattice is disposed with respect to the first surface in an area of an aperture of the second surface so as not to influence detection.
