<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod unit in which a buckling part is provided and whose weight is reduced. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rod unit 44 includes a first ball joint 12, a second ball joint 13, and a buckling member 46. The buckling member 46 coaxially connects a first rod 24 of the first ball joint 12 and the second rod 25 of the second ball joint. The buckling member 46, a long member of steel, is formed in a roughly cylindrical shape. The first ball joint 12 and the second ball joint 13 are each formed of ceramics.
