<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably attract and carry a recording object material, even when the deformation and flapping of the recording object material are caused by a change in a use environment and swelling of the recording object material. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This carrying device includes a carrier belt 31 for supporting and carrying recording paper by and to a surface. A plurality of electrode plates 36a are arranged inside the carrier belt 31. The plurality of electrode plates 36a include the electrode plate 36a for generating an electrostatic attraction force for attracting the recording paper to the carrier belt 31, and the electrode plate 36a for controlling an electric resistance value of the surface by adjusting the surface temperature of the carrier belt 31 through heating.
