The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating AIDS (Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) containing one or more among a homogenous cell line derived from a cambium of Panax ginseng including wild ginseng or ginseng, and ground raw material, extract and culture of the homogenous cell line as active ingredients. The homogenous cell line and its ground raw material, extract and culture according to the present invention are natural product-derived compositions. They minimize side effects of existing therapeutic drugs and are safe for the human body. In addition, they effectively increase the number of T-cells such as CD4+ T-cells and reduce the number of HIVs (human immunodeficiency viruses). Thus, they prevent opportunistic infection, dysneuria, and neoplasia caused by immune incompetence, and ultimately the risk of death. Therefore, they are useful for preventing and treating AIDS and relieving symptoms of AIDS.
