A napkin (1) is an oblong article equipped with a top sheet (2), a back sheet (3), and an absorbent body (4) which is placed between the sheets (2, 3). In the sanitary napkin (1), a pair of inner grooves (71), which curve outward into a convex shape in the width direction (X direction) when viewed in a plan view, are formed in both side parts (2b, 4b) of the top sheet (2) and the absorbent body (4) within a discharge area (A), and a pair of outer grooves (72), which curve outward into a convex shape in the width direction (X direction) when viewed in a plan view, are formed in the top sheet (2) and the absorbent body (4) outside of each of the inner grooves (71) in the width direction (X direction). The outer grooves (72) of the sanitary napkin (1) are longer than the inner grooves (71), and the convex peak parts (71a) of the inner grooves (71) are placed within the length of the outer grooves (72).
